OPENING HOURS

The museum is open for visits from Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

 

ADMISSIONS

The admission to the museum for the general public is 30 pesos
 

STUDENT VISITS:

All students with identification card are granted free entrance.

 

All students who would like to obtain a copy of the following documents (in Spanish): 

- Preliminary information about the Jade in Mesoamerica

- Guide book for the visit of the Jade Museum

- Interpretation of the architecture and iconography of the tomb of Pakal have to pay 35 pesos for the provision of the materials

 

INSTALLATIONES
 

The Mesoamerican Jade Museum counts with four rooms dedicated to the exhibition of jade pieces associated with 8 Mesoamerican cultures:

 

            Preclassic Room:      pPieces Mocayas, Olmecs, Zapotecs, Mixtecs and Teotihuacans

Classic Room: pieces of the Mayan Culture

           
Postclassic Room: pieces Toltecs and Aztecs

           
Tomb:
 reproduction of the tomb of the 8th sovereign of the devine realm of Bak, today known as the ruins of Palenque.
