Our Logo and Industrial Trade Mark

The Jade, this valued and venerated stone, to which was attributed a divine character, was known in the nahuatl language, the language of the centre of Mexico, as “Chalchihuite”, and in the language of the Mayan region as “Yaxchuultun”. The Mayan glyph to designate the jade are two concentric circles in their simple form. The Atztec sculptors and artists represented it with a central circle, decorated with four little adjacent circles.     

The logo-emblem, which identifies the La CASA del  JADE (The House of the Jade) is a design precisely inspired by the above-mentioned prehispanic glyphes.

At first sight we can interpret it as the representation of a Mayan shield, its centre covered with jaguar skin and crowned with feathers on the extremes.   

We can also visualize it as the glyphic representation of the leyend of the five suns, which in the Aztec mythology are the passing stages of the universe to reach the actual epoque, ruled by the fifth sun, the central sun.

A more contemporary vision,the external circles are related to the angles of the cosmic square which separated the four cardinal horizons. The central circle is the centre of the universe, our planet, our small world and the mayor circle is the representation of the all galaxy, the complete and infinite universe. The 20 feathers are related to each day of the ritual and agricultural calendars of the Mesomerican people which at the same time correspond to the powers of the gods who are the carriers of time.

Futhermore they correspond to the 20 tunes (years), which form a katun, the basic time after the day-kin, which marks the time in which the human beeing becomes a man and compromises his life with mayor responsabilities. Our company as well fulfilled the first Katun of its life, being actually the most solide, prestigious and relibale company in the jade industry on the Mesoamerican territory.

Due to that, in the major circle of the logo-emblem can be observes the silhouettes of the letters « C » and « J », which correspond to the commercial name of our enterprise.

In the simplified version of our industrial trademark, basically the same elements are represented and it is the sign, which we are proud to put on all our archaeological reproductions and high-quality jewels, which are realized in our company.
